Penang Event: International Latern Festival 2007

Official opening will be on 20th Sept 2007. Auto City. Total area used for this Lantern Festival –10 acres Auto City is going to spend about RM2.6M for the whole project and the Lantern Festival decoration will last for few occassion namely:
1) Lantern Festival
2) Hari Raya
3) Deepavali
4) Christmas

Date: 15th Sep 2007 - 31st Dec 2007
Time: 7:00pm-12:00mid-night.
Venue: Auto City
They managed to get sponsors :
1) Astro with top singers and models etc,
2) Tan Chong Motor sponsor a Nissan Latio value RM99,958-00 as Lucky star prize.
3) Hotlink..etc.
4) PTAC obtained budget of RM300,000-00 for them to cover the official opening etc.
5) CM will be officiatiating this Lantern Festival on 20th Sept. 2007

Theme: ‘Hello Kitty & Friends’
Welcome Arch will be under a mockup Penang Bridge. There will be about 1,000 lanterns big and small, spread over 8sections.

Bird Santuary, Water Point, Dinosaurs Land, the Wild, Elephant Camp, Kitty Lantern, Walk way, Penang Bridge.

Tickets will be sold at entrance of Lantern Festival Auto City.
Soft opening on 15th Sept. 2007.
