Penang Chinese Town Hall (槟州华人大会堂) is organizing the annual event "Malam Chap Goh Meh 2008" (鼠 一鼠二元宵共庆会) in front of the town hall on this coming 21st Feb 2008. This Thursday, is the 15th day of Lunar Chinese New Year.

Most Chinese treat it as the last day of the whole CNY and Chinese Valentines Day as well. Throwing Chinese Orange is one of the famous activities during this special day.
During the throwing activity, girls who are still single will write their name, contact info on the orange and throw it to the sea or river, hoping it picked up by someone who had faith tp be her correct partner.
But now, the throwing orange is not only for those singles, but for whoever wanted to make a wish, by writing it on the orange and throw it out. Hoping their wishes come true.
During the event,
throwing orange become one of the listed activities. For who is interested in the activities, you can get the chinese orange from the volunteer in front of
Guan Yin Temple from 6.00pm. So go and get your orange, write all your wishes and throw it to the
"WISHES POND".Of course that
is not the only activity. There are several singing and dancing performance by local singer,
lion dance, drum performance,
traditional dance, and many more. There will be
fireworks by the end of the event.
Please.. Please.. I beg you, don't miss the event. Else...
