The Penang Matta Fair 2008 is offering 100,000 free tickets from community airline Firefly to fly to six of its destinations.

Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Penang chairman Ann G.H. Tan said the offer was aimed at drawing more visitors to the fair to be held at the Penang International Sports Arena from July 4 to 7.

Firefly, which is owned by Malaysia Airlines System Bhd (MAS), is among the main sponsors of the Penang Matta Fair.

It plies the Subang-Penang route and also flies to Langkawi, Kota Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Koh Samui and Phuket.

Tan said in a statement yesterday that besides the free air tickets for lucky visitors, the fair would also feature some interesting side activities and offer attractive discounts for tour packages as well as lucky draws.

She said there would be 281 booths, including 36 manned by travel agents and 74 on tourism promotion.

Meanwhile, the fair organisers are trying to get the cooperation of RapidPenang to provide free bus transport for visitors to the fair. – Bernama

Penang Event: Penang Shanghai World Star Quest

The international singing competition is being organized for the first time outside Shanghai. It is expected to draw about 10,000 spectators.

Organizing chairman Ong Peng Chu said the competition would see 30 contestants from 14 countries.

It is being held here as the state government wants to make Penang an entertainment hub.

PC Fair is back!!!! After long waiting for the PC fair to hit us at Penang, here we are. Most of us can't wait for the day to hit us in order for us to get the greatest deal for PC or accessories.

Penang Event: Walk for A Change Today

Another charity event will be held in this coming weekend at Youth Park. "Walk for a Change Today" charity walk is part of the domestic violence awareness campaign.

This event is open to people from all walks of life. So do your part for charity today. Join the event in celebrating women, families and a violence free life. Proceeds will go to Women's Center for Change & Rumah Seri Cahaya.

Penang Event: The Star Education Fair

I believe you should had heard about this event, or may be seen some flying banner along the way, standing among those election flag. The Star had organized the educational fair at this coming weekend at PISA, Penang.

They had completed the same mission on bringging all the potential local and foreign exhibitors in one hall, providing all the information we need. Now, they had move North to us, Penang.
